Appointments and Service
Scheduling
Appointments can be scheduled through our website, by phone, or in person. While we make every effort to accommodate your preferred appointment time, scheduling is subject to availability.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance. Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may result in a cancellation fee or denial of future appointments.
Service Authorization
We will provide you with an estimate for recommended services before beginning work. Additional repairs discovered during service will require your authorization before proceeding. We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason.
Pricing and Payment
Estimates
All estimates are approximate and based on our initial assessment. Final costs may vary if additional issues are discovered during service. We will notify you of any significant changes before proceeding.
Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made in advance. We accept cash, credit cards, and checks. Returned checks may be subject to additional fees.
Parts and Labor
Prices for parts and labor are subject to change without notice. We use quality parts and stand behind our workmanship.
Warranties
Service Warranty
We warrant our labor and parts against defects for a specified period depending on the type of service performed. Warranty details will be provided with your service invoice.
Warranty Limitations
Warranties do not cover:
- Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or neglect
- Normal wear and tear
- Modifications made by others
- Failure to follow recommended maintenance schedules

Manufacturer Warranties
Parts may be covered under manufacturer warranties. We will assist you in filing warranty claims when applicable.
Vehicle Storage and Liability
Storage
Vehicles left on our premises are stored at the owner's risk. We are not responsible for theft, vandalism, or damage to vehicles or their contents while on our property, except as caused by our negligence.
Abandoned Vehicles
Vehicles not claimed within 30 days of service completion may be considered abandoned and subject to storage fees. After 60 days, we may exercise our lien rights in accordance with Tennessee law.
Personal Property
Please remove all valuables from your vehicle before service. We are not responsible for personal items left in vehicles.
Customer Responsibilities
As a customer, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your vehicle and its service history
- Disclose any known issues or concerns
- Authorize repairs before work begins
- Pay for services in a timely manner
- Remove personal belongings from your vehicle
- Retrieve your vehicle within a reasonable time after service completion
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, American & Import Auto Repair shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to our services, including but not limited to:
- Loss of use of vehicle
- Loss of time or income
- Inconvenience or frustration
- Damage to other property
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the services in question.
Dispute Resolution
Good Faith Resolution
If you have a concern about our services, please contact us immediately. We are committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly.
Mediation
Any disputes that cannot be resolved through direct communication may be submitted to mediation before pursuing legal action.
Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee. Any legal action must be brought in the courts of Washington County, Tennessee.
